Introduction

The Cluster of Biomedical carries out research and experimental development in the fields of medical information/signal processing, detection, prevention, monitoring and diagnostics, imaging analysis and human physiology in the interactive environment and the joint research focus.

Activities

Our researchers participate in multi-disciplinary projects, create and test cutting-edge prototypes, and offer research services to businesses and healthcare organizations. This Cluster is built up by a vibrant and collaborative unit of inter-disciplinary researchers.

Focus Areas

We address diverse problems in biomedical sciences and translate the advances in research of health into the benefit for the community. It is aligned with the local, national and global focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN-SDG) No. 3, good health and well-being. Our work brings together engineers, scientists and medical researchers on topics including rehabilitation technology, biomedical sensors and actuators, biomedical information and signal processing, AI and machine learning on healthcare information, IoT wearable devices, robotics, control system design and etc. The Cluster is driving innovation and generating powerful synergies and has led to a series of discoveries that have proceeded to commercial development.

Aspiration

We aim to focus on some of the growing health challenges for improving the quality of life for well-being.
